Project Description

Africa Entsha Vocal Workshop

Five-man South African vocal acapella and dance group from Soweto, whose name means “New Africa” wowed the crowds of the World Cup Opening Ceremony in 2010 and the Paralympics in London 2012.
They perform songs from the South African oral tradition, sung acapella in gospel style, including zulu songs and even pop covers. Their all singing and all dancing act is full of rhythm, style and spirit and audiences are frequently left deeply moved. A fantastic opportunity to catch this award-winning act up close and personal at Manchester Museum.
“In a music market saturated with cloned bubblegum pop and industry-peddled garbage, Africa Entsha are welcome breath of fresh air” Manchester Radio Online.
The five vocalists will share singing tips in this one hour masterclass.
